In some computing situations, you might need to create a WiFi hotspot quickly so other wireless devices can use an Internet connection. Today we take a look at Connectify which easily turns your Windows 7 machine into an instant WiFi hotspot.

You might be at a location where there is only one Ethernet connection available (hotel room, office or meeting room etc.) and you need to share the Internet connection with other people or devices. Connectify is a free utility which is light on system resources and makes it easy for you to set up your Windows 7 machine as a secure WiFi hotspot.

Note: Connectify only works with Windows 7 Home and above, Starter is not supported.

Installation is quick and easy, and once complete, you can access Connectify from the icon in the Taskbar.

 

Under settings, type in a name for the WiFi network, a password to access it, then decide the type of internet connection you want to share. It allows LAN, VirtualBox Host-Only, Wireless Network Connection, and no Internet sharing. When you’re ready, click on the Start Hotspotbutton.

Now you’ll see it running and can begin connecting your other wireless computers and/or devices.

 

Now that Connectify is running on the Windows 7 laptop, In this example we go over to an XP laptop and connect it. Open up Wireless Networks and you’ll see the new hotspot we just created that you can connect to.

 

You’ll be prompted to enter in the Network Key (password) you set in Connectify twice, then click on Connect.

 

Wait for a moment while a network address is acquired…

Here you can see the XP machine is connected to the Geek-fi network we created on the Windows 7 machine.

When you go back to the Windows 7 machine you can see the device(s) connected. It also keeps track of devices that were previously connected as well.

Right click on the Connectify icon in the tray to get different options for running it.

In our tests, the signal strength and connection speed was adequate, but may be a bit slower than your used to. Results will vary based on the type of hardware you have sending and receiving the signal. Overall though, if you need to create a Hotspot in a pinch, Connectify is more than capable. If you’re looking for an easy way to share your Windows 7 wireless connection with other devices, and want it to be secure, Connectify get’s the job done.

How to Play Sony PlayStation (PSX) Games On PC

Many of you people heard about Emulators so what is it exactly. Wikipedia says "emulator is hardware and/or software that duplicates (or emulates) the functions of a first computer system in a different second computer system, so that the behavior of the second system closely resembles the behavior of the first system", this means we can make our PC specific system so it enable us run those system-specific games on our PC.

This is 1st tutorial of emulators serious, we will look closer to needed software to run PS2, Xbox, PSP games on PC. This time we'll learn about Sony's PlayStation (PSX).

Part 1 : Play Station
A lot of People had fun with first Play Station game, All of Play Station games were playable on the Play Station 2 and most of them on Play Station 3, now a days you can even play them on your PSP so why not on our PC.

Step 1 - Download & install ePSXe
in order to emulate the Play Station 1 games on your pc, you need to download ePSXe which is PS1 emulator, the latest version can be found here.
As you can see in below screenshot, there is NO installer, you just need to unzip it under any folder of your choice, you can make a shortcut just right click on "ePSXe.exe" then "Send to" and choose "Desktop".

Note - the developers of ePSXe forgot to add zlib1.dllso it is not be present in zip file, you can download it from here and drop it to the folder where you unzip all ePSXe files and folder.

Step 2 - Getting the PSX's BIOS 

BIOS files are base of the emulators, from all of things we’re going to need are the PSX’s BIOS files because these are essential for the emulators,

Note - You are only allowed to own these files if you own a PSX. Techfoke does NOT encourage piracy!!!

 There is two way to obtain this files, either you can dump it from your PSX but it is very long route , or You can download this somewhere( direct link here) but again, if you only own a PSX.

We'll extract this file on \bios directory  (you are allow to delete "erase.me" file)

Step 3 - Getting Image
Again we are not ready, our next step is to get a video plug-in .
there are wide variety of video plug-inavailable on internet, try this link, some might be work better then others (depending on your graphics card ) , i can't tell you which one to use, but i can point you in right direction as Pete’s and P.E.Op.S. plug-ins have made a good name for themselves. It it does not work then try few of them and see which work best. ( you can find all linux plug-in at the bottom of page)

Now extract the download packages in to \pluginsdirectory, you might need to overwrite the gpu.dat

Step 4 -  Make some noise( Optional )
The ePSXe has build in sound plug-in but, but in case it does not work for you , check herefor alternative ( scroll down ), then put this plug-in into \pluginsdirectory.

Step 5 -  Disk Drive Plug-in (Optional )
 The ePSXe has build in disk drive plug-in , but in case it does not work for you, check herefor alternatives, you can put this plug-in into \pluginsdirectory. 

Step 6 – configuring ePSXe 
you've got all files need and are just few steps away from playing your PS games on your PC, you can launch ePSXe from a shortcut that you create on your desktop. you will encounter a configuration Wizard.

First you have to select a correct bios of your country ( Pal being Europe , Australia and part of asia) , you will notice that there are different region for you country but all should be work. 

Next select video driver, if you click on config, you can change resolution, FPS limit, but only change this settings when you know , what your are doing !!! 
Next select the your sound plug-in and CD-ROM plug-in
now lastly (not at all), you need to set controller settings, you can use below screen shots of orignal PAD setting, first press on controller you want to configure, in my opinion two best option are here, either use USB or orignal pad with converter or using your keyboard (\Digitalin the menu).

Step 8 : Boot & Play 
Finally in the file menu choose "run CD-ROM" (if you inserted games CD ) either sekect "run ISO" and start Playing , enjoy.

SMS Bombing - Flood Inbox of Your Friend With Messages

SMS Bombing is a prank which is often played in which we send continuous text messages to the victim. The number of texts may vary from 15-20 to even 1000 ! So, I'll be sharing a method of sms bombing here and this method does not use any software to bomb, rather a bit of innovation with a plug-in.

Requirements :  1.Mozilla . It can be downloaded here.

                            2.A Mozilla plug-in named Imacros. Add it to firefox from here.

                            3.A site which allow you to send text messages with no captcha challenge and no adds
                           between to successive messages you send.

Make sure you have installed imacros correctly and to get an icon like shown in the below.

        Method :  1.Go to the site you are using to send texts.Log in there.

                        2.Now click on the icon of imacros from there click on "rec" and then "record".Please make
                           sure that all tabs are closed click on record button.

                                 

                        3.Now type the number of the victim and then the message.

                        4.Click on "send"button.

                        5.As the delivery report comes,click on "send another message".




                        6.After clicking on send another message click on "stop" button in imacros.

                               

                        7.Now click on "play" option in imacros.
